Hurricane Andrew came through and I lost all those uniforms. Several years ago I started getting involved in some veterans things where some wore the uniform at various functions. What finally got me off my duff was I was asked to participate in a local school's Veterans day program and asked if I could wear my uniform. Since I had not replaced the uniforms after the hurricane I couldn't wear my blues but it got me thinking. I now have a brand new set of Dress Blues, just in case. I retired almost 19 years ago and had my uniforms either hanging in the closet or properly stowed in the seabag. Hurricane Andrew came through and I lost all those uniforms.
