That Egret photo is actually a Blue Heron. We have a pair that visit my small backyard Koi pond and let me tell you, they sure make a pig of themselves when they eat. They take any fish that fits in their beak. We lost 80 fish last year alone. They are considered a “threatened” bird and its a felony to harass them. I’d like to kill them both but that would mean jail time.
