“Stuff” the Mrs Pinch doesn’t want hanging around the house ends up on my desk at work. I don’t know why…all I know is that she lacks a certain appreciation of the more…shall we say…important things in life.
From left…a tube of chaff, a 20mm practice round,6 various sized F-14 models, a foot-long piece of arresting gear wire, and finally the hook-point from my 200th trap.
Now I ask you….what is wrong with those perfectly innocent items sitting on a coffee table in the living room…or the dining room table, for crying out loud! Women….sheesh…..

These things belong in a glass case in your living room or family room, next to your helmet. Maybe a spotlight from a track light to illuminate it 24-7 would also be nice to see them better at night. I empathize with you, Pinch. Sheesh!!!

I’m thinking dining room table center pieces myself…

What — no hold back fittnigs? Those make great paperweights, especially from the Whale
All my stuff has been banished to the study, and that only because there’s doors that SWMBO can close for company.

Way more valuable and attractive than any fancy crystal glasses or china plates.
I vote for one of those tall glass cases with really bright lights in the top – right in the living room.

Oh, because the glass cases are all full? That’s why this stuff — I mean, these items — are at work?
Although I would think your 200th would be on prominent display above the fireplace at the very least!!! I am shocked!

I have the same problem. My initial qual A7 hook point works really well as a door stop in my office. You know you’re with a friend when someone recognizes what it really is.

I think it’s a hint you need to buy a new curio case…

Couldn’t find a VF-14 big one Pinch? I love the VF-84 Tomcat but I’m surprised to see it there. I looked at those on eBay for a bit, is it one of the Franklin Mint jets?

Darryl,
Don’t know, actually. Its at work, so I can’t take a look at the bottom of it for a logo right now. Brother Tom picked it up when he did some work with Northrop Grumman out on the west coast a bunch of years ago. I’ve toyed with the idea of getting a VF-14 one, made up in my plane’s colors/sidenumber/etc, but as per the blog post we are commenting on, I don’t know where I’d put it! *sob*

Every man should have at least one room in the house that’s his (does NOT include the garage). I can’t seem to find my union rule book at the moment but I know for a fact it’s in there. Look it up – International Brotherhood of Husbands handbook. Metrosexuals have taken to referring to it as the “man cave”. Whatever. It’s mine and I’ll dust the Wood Duck’s back when I feel like getting around to it! (And what’s wrong with hanging my ball caps on the buck’s antlers? Do you hear him complaining?)
