Kind of a cool pic. The carrier Kennedy, sailing off into a rainbow. All sweetness and light and lollipops and ice cream, I know. Problem is, the carrier is always looking for wind to launch or recover aircraft. Wind always blows *away* from a major weather system, so to get that wind-over-the-deck, the ship needs to sail towards and sometimes into those weather systems. The rainbow is neat and all that, but it generally means a rainy, wet and miserable recovery.
