Can This White House Do Anything Right?

November 3rd, 2009 · 6 Comments · General

Will the terrorism detainees at GITMO get the H1N1 vaccination or not?

White House spokesman Robert “I Have To Defend This Crap” Gibbs says no:

“There is no vaccine in Guantanamo. There is no vaccine on the way to Guantanamo,” Gibbs said. “I don’t know what the Pentagon said. … There wasn’t any there and there wasn’t any on the way.”

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said the vaccine should be at the naval base on Cuba by the end of November.

“The department has an obligation to care for persons in its custody and we take that seriously,” Whitman told Fox News. “There is a limited supply of this vaccine so we have prioritized our population.”

This is a never-ending comedy of errors.

In defense of this joke of an administration, “Whitman said Gibbs was correct in saying the vaccine is not currently on its way, but clarified that it will be soon.”

That still doesn’t excuse Gibbs trying to sound “tough” on those Gitmo bad guys.

I have not been complimentary to Mr. Gibbs in the past and don’t intend to start doing so now.

In answer to your question – I haven’t caught them doing anything right yet… :-(

There is hope after watching election returns last night!

I just finished assisting with a H1N1 clinic last night. The clinic vaccinated 450+ kids and adults, and only had one or two screamers.

In regard to ‘priorities’ we were advised that when 40% of the population is vaccinated the obamadminstration will send 10% of the available vaccine ‘overseas’ to help the less fortunate.

The good news is we were able to pry the town health officer off the ceiling prior to the clinic.

This administration can do something right – a new FUBAR every day.

    Pinch,

It’s not nice to question this administration while it is “in the moment.”

That moment would be the “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” moment. General Jones warned the commanders in Afghanistan not to present the President with a WTF moment. (If Jones is quoted correctly by Bob Woodward).

The President has been in the moment since General McChrystal sent in the request for more troops to win. (Oops! I said a dirty word…its a synonym of victory and its therefore unpermitted)

Well, I guess I’m not sure which moment you’re referring to… So I guess I’ll keep playing the Barack Obama Drinking Game…
