I always liked this one. I can’t remember why the wingman was down low like that and we were rolling over the top for a nice photo, but the colors, the texture of the water, the classic F-14 planform…all makes for a nice shot. The filter I had – something like a standard polarizing filter (or something like that) caused that strange pattern. It happened often whenever I’d shoot through the canopy.

Hi Bill,
Love the shot, reminds me of some of the shots Heater Heatley used to do. Did you ever see his book “The Cutting Edge?” Really good stuff with comments that showed the human side of being away on the boat.
