Tiger, Tiger, Tiger…

December 3rd, 2009 · 5 Comments · General

So….what about Tiger and his “indiscretions”?  I honestly don’t think I have seen anyone fall, or have the potential to fall, quite as hard as it looks like he might.   Family, endorsements, his career, his talent, his money – add to the list whatever else you can think of – all look like they can take a HUGE hit.  Add in whatever his wife Elin could do in a divorce claim.  Man-oh-man.

Temptation is obviously a strong intoxicant.  His wife, his daughter, his sport, everything…he was one of those people in the world who, literally, had absolutely everything anyone would or could ever want or need.  One of the kickers is that he earned every bit of that through  hard work, long hours honing his skill, working the whole shebang.

This is a head scratcher.   Whatever the true story is – fooling around? not once but multiple times? how long? – it does not bode well for the professional – or private – life/future for Tiger Woods.  Its sad, but whatever is going on, he has nobody to blame but himself.

Just seems a shame. And for whatever it’s worth, I am — what, surprised, I guess. Mostly bec. he so wants everything to be so private and out of the limelight, just that aspect alone you would think would be incentive enough for this to never happen.

I don’t know. Certainly not for me to judge on this one. This is one of those ones that it just seems stupid. And a shame for the kids, even tho they’re small. Things CAN’T be happy at home right now.

I keep wondering what Earl would have to say… I guess it is a good thing he isn’t here to have to experience it. Not an ocean deep enough to hold the tears of his disappointment.

I’m disappointed in him. Thought he was an exception – a champion who was a good guy.

Gonna lose that Buick endorsement anyway.

People have to buy Buicks to have an endorsement.

For Tiger, keeping his character at a superlative level was more difficult than his athletic ability.

    ‘Tis a pity.
