Don’t You Eat That Yellow Snow…..

February 8th, 2010 · 5 Comments · General

We had a bit’o weather this past weekend.  We ended up with just under 21″ of snow.  For some of you out there, that might be a light dusting, but for us it is in the Top Ten of all time for this area.  Add that to the 16″-plus we had in December and the expected 5-10″ forecast for tomorrow evening/night and you have the highest snowfall in the DC area since Moses was a little kid.

Poor Sarah…she’ll be going to school, this her senior year, into July probably.

Al Gore…Mr. Al Gore…please pick up the courtesy phone in the lobby of the Hotel Global Warming, please.

Like I said…another 5-10″ expected tomorrow night, so strap in and enjoy the ride!!!

33″ out by us in the western end of the county. Did some back of the envelope calcs and figured out that between shoveling and snowblowing moved about 28,300 cuft of snow Friday/Sat/Sun.

    Snow sucks – I’m ready for spring…

I was wondering what you got, Will. I wonder what Kath got up in Maryland.

Ahem. I had to live with that “don’t eat yellow Snow” growing up.

We’re supposed to get 24″ tonight through tomorrow. I’ll send you a few comparison pics and we’ll commiserate over a beer next time in DC.

Out in WV, just south of Cumberland, my sister-in-law had 33″. Just west of Cumberland, Frostburg had close to 40. Of course, that was before yesterdays round of frozen precip…
